Show Notes

Join my special guest, Travis Suit, as we discuss being Bold in the Face of Fear. Travis has created a non-profit organization called Piper's Angels which helps the Cystic Fibrosis Warrior community both locally and globally. Motivated by the strength of his daughter Piper, Travis Suit built Piper’s Angels to improve the lives of patients and empower their family members. The traumatic experience of his child’s diagnosis with a terminal illness launched him into action to build an organization driven by passion, purpose and love.

Piper’s Angels found its wings with the Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis. Travis learned that saltwater therapy helps those with cystic fibrosis, therefore he created an 80-mile paddle boarding event to spread awareness, raise money, and enrich the lives of those affected by cystic fibrosis. The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis is an epic adventure that brings support to the CF community while building an ocean crossing tribe of stoked and focussed participants.

This podcast is being released on November 25th, 2020 in conjunction with WarPaint Wednesday! Why Warpaint Wednesday? We recognize the battles that CF brings to a person’s everyday life from the day they are born. We call these people Warriors. And to honor them in their fight, we show solidarity by wearing purple warpaint on one very special day each year, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (in the US).  It’s a global day of activism and giving for the CF community fueled by the power of social media and community collaboration via a virtual and local campaign. Please help support the CF community by making a donation today. Click here to support.
