A fated 60 foot fall while canyoneering resulted in Nichole Doane being airlifted to the very hospital where she worked as a trauma nurse. While enduring a shattered pelvis, a broken back and a spinal cord injury, she recalls the day of the fall as the greatest moment of her life​​​​​​​.​​​​​​​
